MAKING A DIFFERENCE: Creating a Sustainable
World.
We will explore the philosophies and tools of Natural Capitalism, The
Triple Bottom Line (people, profit, the planet), Permaculture Design (natural
system design and management involving capturing energy, producing no
waste and using feedback ) and Feng Shui (intention and arrangement of
your physical environment). You will create a vision of how to be sustainable
in your own home, workplace and community, along with a practical plan
and steps to take, and a buddy to support you with a weekly telephone
call. The consultant/ facilitators are also on call to assist you.

Zaida Amaral is a dynamic Brazilian environmental
architect, a feng shui master, a drummer and a dancer. She is an Ecovillage
and community developer who will inspire you to take sustainable steps
with spiritual awareness. As an international traveler and pilgrim,
she brings you teachings and trainings from the Findhorn Foundation,
Scotland. She manages Resonance Feng Shui and is Co-Director of the
Sustain Ability Trust in Albuquerque, NM.

Katherine Steele is a permaculture designer,
educator and international networker. She facilitates workshops on
permaculture, natural building and community building. She is founder
of the Urban Permaculture Guild in California and is engaged in numerous
ecological awareness projects around the San Francisco Bay Area. She
is trained in Ecovillage Design, Sacred Dance and Workshop Facilitation
from the Findhorn Foundation in Scotland. Kat holds an MA in Interdisciplinary
Arts from San Francisco State University and lives in Oakland, California.

This interdisciplinary course is based on the Sustainability Principles
of Natural Capitalism, The Triple Bottom Line, Permaculture Design, Whole
Systems Thinking, Deep Ecology, and Feng Shui.
Addressing the world's issues: globalization of agriculture, privatization
of water, electrical shortages and the widening gap between rich and poor.
Each of us can be empowered to make choices which are thoughtful, joyful,
give us the sensation of voting and of making a difference. After analyzing
your Ecological Footprint you will create a personal Vision and Action
Plan for your own sustainable future.
